| Snow chains in this dimension are not really
inexpensive (approx. 450-500 EUR a pair). In addition only new fast
mounting chains (easy to install with a braket) are availible.
These types are not useful for the G, because a lot of space between
the fender and the tire itself is available. A lot of cheaper, but reliable as the mentioned chains (approx. 104 EUR incl. Tax off Aich, Germany) can be ordered from Army stores in different sizes. For instance 265/70R16 (Trade mark like Erlau, RUD and Thiele). One good supplier is Fa. Westenthanner GmbH 84155 Aich, Am Hubfeld 14, +49 8741/6520 www.schneeketten.com The chains are stored for a long period of time, but have never been used. Sometimes you will see some Oxydation or corrosion spots. These can be removed with some rust primer like Epoxy Brunox. Spraying with oil like Fluid Film A (see my 2.
